Jessica Welker, LMHC
“Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn’t you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are.” — Rachel Naomi Remen
About Jessica
My Approach :
It is an honor to witness and walk alongside clients on their journey for healing and personal growth. Therapy is a collaborative process and together we build a strong therapeutic relationship that allows for deep internal exploration. Using curiosity and compassion, my approach to treatment is holistic, experiential, relational, and body-centered. My treatment draws from trauma-informed care, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Professional Background:
In my former career, I conducted investigations (abuse of authority, physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect) and trainings (Forensic Interview Best Practices of Vulnerable Persons and Understanding Sexual Abuse Dynamics).
